Life exists

Do I believe it when, I say,
I can surmount all odds to define a way.
When the light that shines is bright and gay,
Where the wind blows the sun away!

When the clouds that carry mist and foam,
Gather around my meager home.
Covering it with braces of gold,
In their dark clutches forever they will hold.

Taunted bruised in a golden cage.
Spoon fed hunger of thoughts take rage.
And the golden shackles of clouds break hold.
When I shout aloud, life exists, behold!

And, now my way is defined I say.
The light of sun will ever shine this way.
For forever day and night,
This disease forever I will fight.

And with one final yell, I will fall,
Even, if my name is in a fameless hall.
Remember the words if not me.
Far from heaven or hell when I scream,
There is nothing more real than a dream.

Journey

The tires were squeaking
And scuttling on millions
Of flying stones.

Flying past the window
Was a moor adorned
In favoured jewels.

All across it lay,
Golden sands, crowned
With the purple lands
Of the monster man.

We see today it'll pass.
The black window closes.
The moon must be tinted,
Not just sun.

"What?" "Shut up!"

The great ones are
whispering in my ear,

"What do you want?"

"What do I want?"

"Go, find it. No, stay awhile,
no, alive. Wait, the night
wants to sing to you. No,
go, the dawn welcomes you."

The man over the hill
Has enormous power.
He can smoulder mountains
And bring calm and peace.

In peices we sleep,
Dreams make sense in other dreams.

"Stop!"

"What, what did I do?"

"Shut up!"

"Why, what happened to you?"

"Sit, sing, work,
dance, laugh, cry, clap!"

"No, no, I can't. I
want to live."

"Shut up!"

Silence encumbers the
purple night.

"Where have you been?"

"To the planet of the thorns."

"Tell the truth."

"What's a truth?"

Smack, the cheeks turn blue,
the lips are engorged.

The believer only sees what he wants to believe in

"No, no. You are wrong,
believe what you see."

"No, I will believe what
I want to."

The head smashes against
a rock. The rock crumbles.
A light shines in the
Bloody scar. Soaring with
Pain and encompassed
in loss of glory and self.

"You wil die!"

"But, the rock crumbled?"

"What are you?"

"Who are you?"

"Shut up!"

Mistakes pile upon success.
Success is one step behind life.
Death is a step ahead.

----The eternal dreamer, no sorrow shall wither my glory, no happiness shall surrender to my will. I will. And everyone shall be.

In the silent hallway

In the silent hallway,
There sleeps this man.
With no fear of dark
To bring light here,
Is a stringent ban.

But the light inside him
He is unable to recognize.
The power he holds
Is beyond shape and size.

The path he has taken
Is the one taken by all.
There’s no way to get lost
The road is same to all.

Half way to home
He wants to turn around.
Swimming against the tide
He wants to make one sound.

A yell for all to wake up.
From the deep slumber
Of no dreams; wake up
My loved ones, he cries
And the light in him he has realized.

A caterpillar's dream

At a fair, that I had been to,
Bathing in the sun there sat a
Caterpillar that must have fallen
Down from a leaf, it was
Eating the same leaf as if a
Feast could not make it sleep.

Gnawing with no teeth at stones
Hungry still from the last minute meal.
In the eyes that were as blue as sea, still
Jarring open into a butterfly.

Kindling a fire in its heart
Loafing in its own desolate ring,
Munching at a leaf it caught from
Nowhere, not where it knew, may be from
Other side of the moon. At the
Parking lot there came a boy, a very
Quiet part of his life, laid down to
Raise that caterpillar from the
Stone on which it had stood, for all
Time it ever knew, in rain with no
Umbrella, because of one thing that it
Verily knew, that what may happen, it
Would never be a butterfly.

eXactly when it could not tell
Yachting in the sun it felt
Zero chance it ever had, to not be a butterfly.

Along the human highway

The beauty is staring at me
Across the human highway,
The kids are begging for
One metal chip.

Money, money I don’t
Have any. They move on to the
Next piece of bone. Money
Money, no one has any!

The altar of glory

On the altar of glory,

The sacrificial lamb is
Brought to death, by the
Weapon of disguise. Every
Mute voice makes raucous,
Ravenous voices of jittery
And joy. The sun only smiles
As people run behind it, like
Hungry vultures. On the
Ground there is much
To be surprised at. But,
The shadows that grow
Defile it in their oily glory.

Just for a while though,
Not for long they stay, they
Slip and fall, trudge themselves
Around on the fuelled floor.
The world watches and
Laughs at the sacrificial lamb.
It is brought to death
On the altar of glory.

Do I believe in love

Do I believe in love today?
When no word you say is a song
To my yearning ears, to my soul
Captured in this happy tears.

Do I believe in love today?
When all you say, is a
Shrug and a smile, when by seeing
You my heart goes into exile.

Do I believe in love today?
When my words don’t
Make sense to me, but just
Saying them would set me free.

Do I believe in love today?
When all I see in my eyes
Is me and you, with you around
My world is exciting and new.

Do I believe in love, you say
After all the words I have put forth
Why not I say with a grace,
If everything I have said is the truth.

Life seduction

Will you sleep with me?
We can have a good time.
It’s not like we were born
This way, we only came together now.
Don’t you think I love you?
Do you not believe me?
This is the first time I’ve ever said it
To someone else before!
I love you, I love you!
You are my life, and so I love you.

What more reason do I need?
And what reason can I give, if I
Had to hate you? Yes, how many times should
I say it. Please don’t leave me; I have
Still a lot in you I have to explore
And enjoy, don’t you understand?
You don’t? Neither, do I! But, still
I cannot leave you, but you me?
I can only beg you to stay with me!
One more night so that
We can enjoy it together.

Life, Don’t leave me!
We can have a good time!

The castle on the ship

The castle on the ship
For ever and ever it floated
Past me, into reality.
I chased it splashing my
Arms and legs in an attempt
To swim on sand.

The ship stopped, watching
My frail attempts go in vain.

I was let in, the walls were
Built in wood and stone!
The party inside was grim,
But, there was a lot of rum,
And every cup was filled
To the brim, I took one
Unsure of the quality.
But, once drunk a manlike me
Would slip into insanity.

Then I heard a cheer in the
Grim crowd, the people were
Not silent after all, they were
Dancing with unseen steps.
And speaking language
Unheard by human ears.

The castle on the ship
Began to move,
The sand waves gave way
And there was a crowd in the crew!

There was a lurch, and
My focus came back to life.
The crowd became silent
So, I took another cup of rum.
Now everything looked happy,
As it had previously done.

Never losing color

To the east and the west
I look out with unrest.
Flooding my senses, cutting
Through my veins, blood seeping,
Leaking, into the eddying
Currents of time.

Mixing with water, losing
Its color, losing its taste,
Smell, texture everything's been erased.

One drop lost, another falls
My final chance to find the walls.
But, now it falls
Drop by drop, without losing color
In desperation it calls,
For recognition, response.
For it falls into the dry
Land of my palms.

Mother

I was a spark in your womb,
You fed the fire and
Brought me home.

I knew your only wish
Was for me to shine.
But, did you know my wish
Was to always have you for mine.

But now, if you come back
I'm ready to fulfill all your requests
You order! Now. I'm willing to
Carry out, for you, any quests.

But, did I not deserve to
Keep you for long.
Or was it you, were you eager to
Leave me all alone?

Mother, in this glaring
Life I'm being brought up
In the shadows of greater selves.
I thought your wish was for
Me to stand up by myself.

Can I see you again?
If I cry for eternity cornered in
A dark place, with the only wish
To have you again. Or should I
Come to you, can you be my
Mother there and again?
Now, that my life's only
Wish is to be with you again.

For all those years, you
Raised me in your cradle.
For all those years I didn't see you,
When you were right here
In front of me.
But, now when my only
Wish is to see you.
I cannot, the power is
Not given to me!

Deeds undone

Of all the things that I love and care,
There are few things of which I'm sure.
Of all the things to question, I dare,
The answers remain always obscure.

But, no matter how hard I try,

The answers that come are incomplete.
Like what is the use to laugh and cry?
Next minute, everything becomes obsolete.

Then is it hard to keep a straight face,

When dangers and fears lurk ahead.
In a crevice hidden in this dreary place,
Where, all spoken words go unsaid.

Then, where is the faith in our heart and souls,

Where is the light when in need?
When our past is filled in a bowl,
Complete with every desire and greedy deed.

But, fear not says a voice,
For all you have, is all you have done.
In this life there is time to rejoice,
Because the past can never be undone!

Let's study

The days of torment
They will never be over.
For a few days or months,
Your subjects are your lover.

If you can't love them,
Then you won't get girls.
Unless you can rock or rap
Or have a pocket that burls.

But, for now concentrate,
For all that you have is a few
Limited days, in which you can
Graduate, before you grow old
And start counting off the dates.

Studies are more important,
Dreams come and go.
Once you fail in an exam,
There is nowhere to go.

You'll have to sweep a government
Floor or a mad man's rich hole.
But if you study and do well,
You will be a model of a role!

So, let's all get together,
And together we will study.
If we don't pass who cares.
We will pass by giving
The college some money!

Nature's symphony

The mist in the valley rises
Revealing me the world in a trance.
Of nature there is naught to say,
It is majesty in her proudest stance.

The queen of nature rules,
The king of the lost kindred!
As the beauty materializes in front
Of my dreamy eyes, haunting itself with
Images of mountains and Valleys, drowned in silence.

And now as the sweet
Symphony, canorously
Enters my materialistic ears.
Reverberating in the
Silence of forgotten years.

I understand,
The heaven is here on earth.
If we look close, the earth is
A sky full of stars, with beauty enclosed.

My hands flow like a river,
With some inherent energy pulling
The strings of my flowing quill.

I'm not bragging about the quality
Of my written words, I'm just admiring the
Power of beauty that holds me and takes me
Far from these pieces of earth.

Into the infinite
Space holding all things as one.
Of the many things that grow in time,
The part called me; it's no one, it's none.

Miracle of life

I wonder, when this miracle of life,
Will take me into her soft tender hands.
Away from the cold dread,
Away into her warm, willful hands.

I wonder, will I be awake by then;
Will I be alive again.
Omitting my sorrows,
Shadows of my past.
As long as I'm alive they will last.

So, when will I be freed-
From this platform
Of dramas unlimited.
All these audience, clap
From afar, seated. On
The bones of their elders;
Drinking beads of their sweat.
Happy with their incomplete life.

Will it be complete, when it all ends?
Will we be freed from being,
Unwilling puppets, in this
Play of blood and bones.
By this one uneventful,
Miracle of life.

Blinding light

I took to the roads today,
After the sun had drowned
Into the unseen sea of the sky.
The alleyway was dark and misty,
It was stinky, stingy, raking fear.
But beneath the hood, I understood
Nothing there was to be afraid of.
Except for the yellow lights shining,
On the darkest of the paths.

I took this path only to see the stars
At night, but never I imagined
There would be none tonight.

The more I walked into the blinding
Path, more I felt my excitement
Ebbing away, in to the cold dread
Of the evening, into the smog in the
Surrounding. I turned up to look at the stars,
I felt they had better things to offer.
But, I did not foresee I could see
Not one tonight, with the blinding lights
Lining the path, the light of the stars
Were made a mystery to bewildered eyes.

Searching for faith in the depths of
The ethereal, looking for hope into
The corners of the universe, hope
That some star would shine its light
Upon the lonely traveler. But all
I saw were these yellow lights, hung
To poles of cold denial. Poles to which
The freedom of the free mind are
Tied, held captive, thwarted, subdued.

But, elation swept my mind, when
I see the dark patch, from where
I could look at the stars in peace.
But, as I approach it, I see
It was just a shadow, beside it is
The light, it was sniggering,
Pointing at me. And spoke to me in
Its cold deadly whisper-
"Where you going, you fool?
You just follow me."

Stars at night

For once, I live in the night;
Drunken lords defending their might.
Every point they seem to make,
They say is right. But for me,
Un-drunken and un-willful-
Of their presence, gazing in to the depths
Of the sky, at the minuscule stars-
Singing their monotonous pulse, again
And again, singing with the same voice,
Sounds different every time I hear;
For different is every line, with the
Same rhythm and beat, but with
That lifeful rhythm of a heart beat.

In the night only, they will shine.
In the night only, they will sing.
Their harmonious tone uniting,
Every single thing.
In the night only, can I gaze
At them and wonder, and hear-
Their joyful notes of romance, and
Forget all about, the willful sorrow
Of the drunken people.

The evening sun

The sun shines like a king in the sky,
His chariot is made of gold.
He rides along to give way to the moon,
Who rides with a silver crown!

The trees are lolling from side to side,
To the lullaby sung by the wind.
The gentle breeze is flowing serenely,
The flowers breath in and out in sleep.

The ripples on the water are restless with waiting,
They are waiting for a fish to pop out.
They are disturbed by a petal falling into the water,
The petal is happy with the gentle smooch.

The mountains across frown and smile,
Casting a shadow of doubt.
Nobody can test their authenticity of emotion,
As they are born and made of stone.

The mighty creator, the mighty smite-r!
Make up your mind to believe.
The creation of the creator is at stake,
Once wounded it is hard to relieve.

Choices

Lost mostly in a desert,
Sometimes in a forest
Of endless opportunities.

Stuck between choices,
On what to choose,
Or what not to, choosing
With unknown reasons, paths
That can hardly be taken.

Going everywhere, somewhere
Somehow, making a try, having
Hope, that any choice, will
Lead to the greatness of mind.
Any path will lead to the
Freedom of the wilder-land.
