Freedom, freedom!
Screams the unborn child;
The pain, the loss,
Even it can feel inside.
Its nostrils flare in anger
Eyes opened out wide.
But the arms move around little,
It legs are not yet untied.
The hair on its back
Stand up inside the sack!
Holding it, enclosing it;
Inside, the whole world it can see-
Freedom, freedom unheard it screams.
How it got in there
No one can find.
But, one thing is sure,
It doesn't want to stay inside.
Bursts out of the cocoon,
Spraying joy on all sides.
Peeking one eye on to the world
Freedom, freedom it screams outside.
