Cradled innocence

That elegant beauty,
Those flashing eyes,
That shocking serenity,
On those intricate lines.
All through laughing, feeling the innocence
Of the innocence lying beside her.
Waiting for an arrival,
Lurking behind the curtains of time.

Past, oh, its been alright,
Present, it is just fine;
And future, hopes and dreams.

Who can understand what is
Passing in that invisible mind.
Treachery? fat chance, what then?
Fear or happiness or
Suspense- What if it happened that way?
No, god has always favored us;
Would he do that, again?

And then cradling that innocent
Little face lying beside her open- mouthed.
Then a smile of reassurance, always.

And then again that elegant face,
Those flashing eyes, that shocking serenity.
And always with the mixture
Of feelings, in that radiating face;
Always and forever after
A reassuring smile.
