Fear and anticipation

Wait, you can take me with you
We can walk on the dew
Fallen on the grass floor
And make grains of sand dance
In the wind and watch them
Floating in the swirling dust
Rising through the air.

Caught between today and tomorrow
Neither happy nor drowned in sorrow
The day was filled full of delight.
Watching the hymns of time
Corrode the silence that the graves
Hold gravely in their womb.

Swiftly runs the rabbit through
The holes in which their young ones grew
And raised now from dust to grass
Nibbling its mouth on the unseen past
Passes the day with silent laughter
Lest, the wolves hear it laughing softer.
