There is a rainbow to the east,
To the west is the sun.
There is a nightingale on an electric wire,
Sending shockwaves through my brain.
Over hanging clouds are bringing
Lighter and lighter rain.
There is a sparrow on a lone stone,
There is a duck in the lake,
Which is reflecting the sun,
As he dips into the clouds,
To hide from my stare.
I’m sitting on the pavement with
The lake spread out in my eyes.
What can be more awesome than this?
You tell me my friend.
I can listen to the muteness,
Tu-hoo tu-hoo sings the bird.
Tri-ti-di-dri sings another,
Reminding me of sounds unheard.
Tin-in-tin-in is the noise which is
So much in tune. Me listening,
To every trouble, I’m now immune.
The waving clouds bring delight to a heart lost in thought.
The flowers enhance, the ducks warning cry,
As a stray dog chases it trying to catch it in vain.
What more is awesome than this?
You tell me my friend.
A lone woman passes by, just another passer-by.
And the sounds of a rickshaw pulling nearby.
Gets dissolved in the lake, which has heard so much more
And is yet not saturated with the speeches unknown.
The grass growing wild, has bushes bloomed in gay,
So free the spirit of a thorn lost in hay!
The juggling bees make a sound,
As two nightingales, in playtime chase around.
The sun now beneath the western clouds waves goodbye.
Tell, what is more serene, than a friendly smile?
Not far away, a coconut orchard sways in sync with the wind,
The pond heron is crying, it is hurt it seems.
Nor can the lake heal, nor can I
I just watch the bush sparrows flying closer by.
The ground is another sea, for a small insect on jelly-stones.
The rock like an island meditating on its own.
For so long, lost in the sea, now I look up,
There is a moon in the air, and pink clouds too up there.
The darker clouds overhead are now in the east,
I wonder if it is raining, and another taking a walk like this.
Where the moon seems like a kite,
Tied to a long threaded cloud.
As the lights on the ground, come around.
They wake up to the nil sounds of an ode singing,
In the distance, as the sun is sinking.
The rays now look brighter than the morn,
When the sun in the east is actually born.
The sounds of the festivities of a near-by town,
Now engulfs the silent air, as a silent stranger walks alone.
Nature gives more life to things,
And brings more life on this planet trying to find,
A fiend, a friend, a feast or just some wine!
Nature it brings more to me,
Than all the past that has passed me by.
Tell me my friend what more can I wish,
Than this unworldly unusual feast?
Tell me what more is amazing than this,
Than to listen to the sounds of nature’s bliss?
